thanks to Caterpillar for this photo - DIY Diva smiling in her shades, and I'm the tall one with a camera in his hands . .

On Sunday 26 April I was privileged to be one of many lining the streets of London in the tropical sunshine . . in conditions which nobody who'd trained in Europe was prepared for.

The sun did indeed, have his hat on, unlike many of the runners who must have wished they'd followed his example!!

And being part of Fetchpoint, with plenty of sunshine, innumberable sweaty hugs and kisses (some people are way saltier than others you know ) and lots of laughter and people with a genuine affection for one another was excellent medicine, and great fun too . .

Seeing many friends running by, some stopping for hugs, others waving, and indeed, not seeing some friends at all (!!) . . it was lovely to be a part of their marathon . .

Shame we couldn't do it again the next day really . . and shouldn't there be a Blue Plaque on The Highway by now? It's a Very Special Spot, after all!!!

Finally, here's a sunglass lens' view of Fetchpoint . . . .
