This Herbert's Hole race is a muddy, mostly off cross country race of between 10k and 11k organised by Chiltern Harriers that starts and finished in Chesham. I'd heard of it before but have never taken part, and by the time I decided I'd like to this year the race was full. So instead I popped up to Leicestershire the day before, and took part in a 17M cross country event, but that's a different page of photographs.

This meant I was free on the day of the race to find Chesham and take some photos, and here they are. I took a few on the second bend, at the top of the first hill, and then nipped across to point my camera at many of the runners on their way back down towards the first kilometre marker.

I got photos of almost all the runners on their way back towards the finish, although there was a gap of a couple of minutes whilst I replaced the batteries in my camera.

Use the links on the left to find the photos I took at the different locations, and click on them to open a bigger picture in a new window. Most of the photos are low-res. Get in touch if you'd like a high-res copy.
