Sunday
the 13th turned out to be a great day for a run. When I left home in
Aylesbury the sun was beaming down and whilst that's nice for me and
my photographs, I was concerned about the problems it might cause
the runners later . .
fortunately the clouds rolled in and very rarely went away, to the
extent that it was cold waiting and watching, but still on the warm
side for running . .
the
photos here show a little of what happened before hand, some of what
happened when the runners had crossed the finish line . . but mostly
they're of the runners out on the 2 Challenges, the 20 miler, and
the new ½ Marathon (upgraded from the 10 miler of previous years) .
.
there's
photos from up on top of the ridge of the Dunstable Downs, from the
small field crossed when leaving Studham, and of most runners
crossing the finish line, regardless of the direction they came in!!
here's a view of the
runners coming towards me on top of the Downs,
with the Glider Station to their right (and down a bit!) . .
