Phil Curry has Cerebral Palsy and Sodium Valproate Syndrome. Since 2002 his dad, Mick has been pushing Phil around races all over the country. So far they have run 41 marathons together, and over 200 half marathons.

In 2009 they were overwhelmingly voted in as Runner's World Heroes of Running and their friends at Fetcheveryone organised the first Friends of MicknPhil Half Marathon. It sold out quickly and was voted one of the top ten races of the year by runners.

In 2011 Mick has been battling with poor health but this didn't stop him from trying for their 42nd Marathon in October. The second Friends of MicknPhil Half is taking place at Draycote Water Country Park in Warwickshire on Sunday 11 March. The funds raised will help to keep MicknPhil on the road and I'll be donating a proportion of my revenue from the race photos to this great cause . .
